A daily puzzle, at your pace

Maze

Use the direction buttons or arrow keys to reach the flag without crossing walls.

Rules and controls

Start at the top-left and reach the flag in the bottom-right. The ● shows your current position. Use the direction buttons or arrow keys, or tap a neighboring cell connected to your current cell. You cannot cross walls or move diagonally. Reach the flag cell to finish.

A worked example

If there is an open passage to the right and a wall below, → moves right. Pressing ↓ does not change your position or move count. At a dead end, return along the passage you came through.

Beginner tips

Look for open passages next to your position rather than focusing only on the distant flag. At a dead end, backtrack to the last junction and try a different branch.

Choose a difficulty

Easy is 6×6, medium 8×8 and hard 12×12. The generator connects every cell; larger boards have more passages to inspect. Backtracking steps also count as moves.

Questions and answers

Can I tap the flag to jump to the finish?

No. You can only tap a neighboring cell directly connected without a wall. Follow the passages one step at a time to reach the flag.

Can I come back to a puzzle I started?

Yes. Progress is saved in this browser, so open the same puzzle at the same site address on the same device and browser to continue. Clearing site data or changing device, browser or domain means the existing record will not carry over.

How can I enjoy the daily challenge and practice?

The daily challenge gives everyone the same puzzle for a matching game, UTC date and level. Choose “New practice” to play another practice round at your own pace. The same round repeats its puzzle; different rounds can occasionally have the same layout.
